  30. I misspoke: the files he's generating are now to
  31. the point where they can be described by some DTD,
  32. just not the one I suggested.

  34. Mostly he's added <HEADER> and <BODY> tags and quoted
  35. his HREFs.

  37. But, for example, he's still putting numbers in the
  38. NAME attribute of anchors. I wanted to use SGML
  39. ids, which are guaranteed to be distinct per
  40. anchor (modulo case of letters). But they
  41. must start with a letter.

  43. You can change the DTD so that the NAME attribute
  44. is a NUMBER or NMTOKEN, but then you lose the distinctness
  45. guarantee (or you change it from an SGML construct
  46. to an application convention.)

  48. And adding the HEADER and BODY elements to the DTD
  49. the way he's used them makes most of the HTML out there broken.
